visually, this book is incredible, one of the best mangas I've read. the monster designs and just shear size of the horrors in this is really incredible. however, the plot and characters are basically non-existent. I felt bored through most of it, and was never actually frightened by anything in here.

fun, tragic, heartfelt story of a little life in nazi germany. writing style felt a little bland at times, but the story got a nice flow in general, and the dialogue was well written.

Amazing book. 

A wonderfully weird exploration of immortality and what it means to be human. The writing style, especially in the chapters taking place in the past, was immaculate.
